Since its formation as the Hawai‘i State Committee for Battered Women in 1980, HSCADV has worked in partnership with community partners and organizations to end domestic violence by raising awareness and educating the public about the impact of intimate partner violence. We provide training, technical assistance, system and community advocacy and other benefits in a tiered structure.
Membership is subject to board approval.
Full membership is for programs committed to HSCADV’s mission, vision, and principles of unity and meets one or more following criteria:
Organizations that operate programs on neighboring islands, a membership is required for each site at $375 per site. For any voting opportunities, only one vote per legal entity regardless of the number of sites.
Organizations or programs that provide targeted or limited services to domestic violence victims (such as clinical, medical, or visitation centers, limited legal services) or through their day-to-day work, serve or otherwise impact survivors of domestic and sexual violence on a regular basis and committed to HSCADV’s mission, vision and principles of unity.
Organizations that are dedicated to addressing other intersections and social justice issues that may be related to, but are not specifically domestic violence. May also include governmental agencies, and coalitions addressing and committed to HSCADV’s mission, vision, and principles of unity.
