Candace was born and raised Portland, Oregon, and has been on Kauaʻi for 7 years. She lives with the two youngest of her four sons. Starting at the age of 5, Candace has been on the side of abuse from all angles. She has been going through the challenging work of navigating mental health and learning how traumatic relationships and experiences have formed who she is.
Candace finally feels like she is finding her voice, and from the core of her being, she desires to be the voice for others that she did not have while struggling with abuse, mental health, domestic violence, and substance abuse.
