Jason Estrella is the son of Donna and Ronald Estrella. He is the husband of childhood sweetheart, Dawn-L. They have a son, Kaʻaumoana, and a daughter, Kealohilani.
Jason has worked in acute rehabilitation, focusing on neurotrauma and behavioral health, later transitioning into community-based forensic behavioral health and crisis work. He is humbled to be entrusted with the current role as program supervisor for the Island of Hawaiʻi YMCA’s Family Visitation Center working alongside his amazing and passionate co-workers as they serve parents and children.
When not engaged in coaching or alongside other volunteer change agents and organizations focused on elevating our communities or Aloha ʻĀina, Jason can be found ʻilihelo (“dirty skin” from planting) or enjoying the enrichment of his relationships with Dawn-L, their children, and/or family and friends across their papa kuʻiʻai, as they kuʻi kalo together. Jason enjoys “disconnecting,” to connect with akua and Ke Akua.
